Evolution of AMCU from Multicam
I have luck to discover the AMCU evolution from the pattern of my AMCU General Purpose Jacket compare with my Platatac Trial Field Shirt. As you can see the AMCU are more complicated than the Multicam. According to the "CONTACT" Magazine, writer said when US Army tried to simplify and enlarge the Multicam become Scorpion because of the macro pattern can be more effective in greater 50m, but obviously AMCU are just doing the opposite way, and no one really know the reason...

AMCU obviously much greener than both AMP and DPCU. More bright and shinny i can say. it may work well in tropical countries but i'm not sure will it be the same effective like DPCU works in Australia.

Early issued 1st version of DPDU, only have 3 colors, rumor that was not enough time to print because for hurrying issues to operators deployed to Afghanistan in 2001. Another rumor is 1000 sets of clothing was produced and issued to 250 SASR operators and air combat crews. Seems it was not in good technique of printing because you can see there's some watermark ink at the edge of the color area.

PLATATAC designed Desert Camo, seems it was inspired by the 2nd version of DPDU.
The different between that is. 2nd DPDU was White+Light Green+Grey+Light purple+Brown, but Platatac Desert camo is White+Grey+Light Purple+Brown+Khaki. Another Different is, Platatac design seems less "Rabbit" and "Hearty" shape but more Round. And obviously it was more darker of the pattern.

Multicam & AMP Comparison
It seems not much different between US Multicam and Australia Multicam. Color are nearly same, but AMP have some tradition "Rabbit" and "Hearty" shapes which can't bee seen in US Multicam, but those shapes just slightly bigger than the Multicam shape and smaller than Auscam.
