"CUSTOM" Crye Precision Trial DPDU Combat Pant
This was custom order and made by Crye Precision. Issued to SOTG for trial. No idea when it was made. Design was based by G3 combat pant with enhanced feature. 2 thigh front pockets below hand pocket, 2 hidden zip pockets at back hip and elastic bands on waist which never seen before. Same twill fabric with Land125 uniform. I have no idea why it didn't made for general issue cause it was defiantly one of a great piece in ADF gear history .
Series 1 DPDU
" The first series DPDU (Disruptive Pattern Desert Uniform) was based on the already well known Australian DPCU (Disruptive Pattern Combat Uniform) aka 'Auscam' camouflage pattern, but with only three colours instead of the initial five, and taking up only one third of the DPCU pattern space. The base was in a khaki/ sand colour with an overlay of a light green/ grey and chocolate brown. This pattern was short lived and was issued on initial deployment of SASR and support elements to Afghanistan. Approximate issue dates were late 2001 to early/ mid 2002. Examples of this camouflage are now extremely rare... More. "

OPFOR Camo by Series 1 DPDU fabric
2nd OPFOR Camo made by series 1 DPDU camo fabric leftovers. Appeared since around 2002-2003 after Series 2 DPDU uniform was issued. Series 1 DPDU combat uniform have 4 pockets and OPFOR DPDU camo has only 2 slated chest pockets. Another differences is Combat uniform were used OD color buttons and OPFOR uniform used Sand color button.
Series 2 DPDU
"With initial feedback suggesting the series 1 DPDU pattern was 'too light' in colouring the Series 2 DPDU reverted to the 5 colour pattern of the original Australian DPCU. The base colour changed to a creamy/ white colour with an overlay of two grey shades, a light olive green and the same chocolate brown as used in the series 1 pattern camouflage... More. "

Series 2 DPDU Fleece Pullover
This Series 2 DPDU pullover was issued in 2002 and used around 1 year. It's very uncomfortable pullover and material wasn't durable. But it can be keep warmer than Land125 windstopper.

.
Series 3 DPDU
" With the commitment of Australian troops to the so called 'Coalition of the Willing' and its invasion of Iraq in 2003, the differing desert terrain caused the latest change in DPDU. It is supposedly more versatile in its arid desert colourings. The basic pattern remains the original Australian 5 colour pattern with a new variation in the colours. The base returns to a more yellow version of the Series 1 DPDU and the olive green is replaced by another shade of grey. The chocolate brown remains unchanged in this pattern. This pattern has been issued since mid 2003 to ADF (Australian Defence Force) troops serving in Afghanistan, Iraq, The Sinai, and during the assistance operation after the Pakistani Earthquakes...
